King Edwards Chicken in Saint Charles

King Edwards has been around as long as I've been living in St Charles and I've lived here for 62 years. The taste hasn't changed my 2nd favorite Chicken plus fried livers or gizzards

Love love the food here but there is a very rude woman the works here. She has a darker skin tone and short red/purple colored hair with tattoos. From what I've experienced shes very rude to guests, giving short ignorant answers when they have questions. Would reccomend letting her go before losing loyal customers.

So so good! Great food...incredible value, huge portions. Eat in or take out. Big meaty moist chicken. We had chicken, gizzards and cauliflower......delicious!!!! Absolute must try!

Love that chicken. It's really became my favorite. Really nice and helpful people who work there.

Chicken was dry butt good breading flavor, baked beans had peppers and not a good flavor , mashed potatoes tasted like garlic and gravy tasted like liquid butter , I didn't even bother with the buns , overall not very good

Food earned 5 stars, service earned 2 (I rounded down). Food not ready when promised, and no sense of urgency to correct the problem.

Called ahead a 16 piece order of fried chicken; it was ready quick, sodes (mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, toasted ravs) were good. Folks in the store (even the customers) were all super nice and offered to help me to my car because I had my baby in his carseat and the carryout order. Will definitely go back!

I am always pleased with my experiences with King Edward's chicken. Their fried chicken has the perfect amount of breading, cooked to a wonderful golden brown. I usually prefer coleslaw from a specific chicken restaurant and never thought I could be swayed... but was one-over by their tasty side dish! Hands down the best chicken in St Charles County!

I had this chicken several times and it was delish, my only issue is that it is so far. I live in N. St. Louis, Co and wish they would put one here. N. CO has no chicken places near 270 and Bellefontaine sinelce KFC closed about 5 years ago. This chicken reminds me if "Chicken King" that use to be on N Broadway and Riverview, OMG a must try!

Great fried chicken...friendly staff!!!

I had been built up to how great the chicken was here. It was pretty good but I hoped for more.

My order was fast and exactly what I had order. Service was great . And will look forward to return visit. And I recommend to anyone likes chicken, fish and any more of good fresh carry out to go.Also good dine in.

Best tasting chicken I've had in awhile.

I try it every 10 years and no changes. Sitting POOLS of grease on the chicken. The chicken actually makes the takeout box soaking wet plus the fries are unbearable with all that salt. If you have a salt restricted diet or a heart condition. Please don't go here.

Can’t get enough. This is destination food. I’d travel just to eat this chicken, you will find it worth it.

The BEST chicken in Saint Charles and Saint Louis County! Their staff is always friendly and expedient. They have Hot Wings now too!

This place is awesome! I went there with my in-laws for the first time. They gave enough time to work out what we wanted and then told us what type of family meals we could order to save money. They had great customer service and the food was hot, delicious, and done quickly. This is a must go to place!

Chicken is amazing. Don't plan on eating in, there is only 5 tables. It is a very busy place. I didnt care for the Cole slaw, mac and cheese, and rolls. The mash potatoes and gravy was good. But its the chicken that wins it all. Staff are nice (busy) and could be alittle friendlier.

This isn't the fanciest restaurant but they have a much bigger selection of items than I expected. The chicken strips, mashed potatoes, green beans were great & the strips are larger than I expected. The service wasn't that great but someone else waited on the people after me & she was much better. I look forward to going back there again soon and trying more of their selections.

This is an excellent place to eat if you're trying to die soon. I actually can't quite understand how they get so much grease into a single piece of chicken. I mean, it's impressive. You can literally feel the life force draining from you with each bite. I had a side of mac n cheese, which was an odd glob of congealed mess stuffed into a small white container. It tasted like cardboard. The only thing we've tried that doesn't taste like extreme grease or garlic are the fries. Yuck.

First time going there. Will definitely be going back.

I usually love this place but today I tried to order via phone and I was told they were too busy and was put on hold and ignored, then when I came up here I was distracted so I didn't see the curb side pick up sign and went into the store and was very rudely greeted by the lady working and told its curbside pick up only with an attitude in her voice, not only that but I was here. Before another customer and she took the other customers order before mine even though I was clearly here before that other customer. Usually I dont have any issues but this time around was HORRIBLE customer service.
